Full-Time Faculty, Emergency Medical Services


  1. Bachelor's degree from an academic institution accredited by a regional or national accrediting agency recognized by the U.S. Department of Education (USDE)
  2. Evidence of current Massachusetts Office of Emergency Medical Services Paramedic certification in good standing.
  3. Minimum of four (4) years' experience in the delivery of out-of-hospital emergency care as a Registered Paramedic.
  4. Minimum of two (2) years' experience teaching in a nationally accredited paramedic program either as an appointed faculty member or as a clinical preceptor.
  5. Evidence of understanding of methods of instruction, testing and evaluation of students.
  6. Evidence of understanding about the current versions of the National EMS Scope of Practice and National EMS Education Standards, and about evidenced-informed clinical practice.

POSITION DESCRIPTION: Wood's is currently seeking qualified EMTs and Paramedics for full-time employment. Responsibilities include providing emergent and non-emergent transports as directed by dispatch and management, utilizing good judgment and providing high quality patient care.


  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Current Registration as EMT-Paramedic
  • CPR-Advance Life Support provider certification by the AHA
  • Current licensure in accordance with protocols and procedures required by OEMS in the State of MA
  • Current CPS, SCLS, BCLS, ACLS, PALS, PHTLS , BTLS and PEEP certification
  • Current valid Motor Vehicle Operator License with good driving record
  • 2+ years of experience in an EMS/Pre-Hospital Emergency Medical Care environment


  • Associate’s Degree
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality
