Current opening - Fulltime 32-36 hr/wk

Schedule is currently Thursday, Friday, Saturday. Shifts vary between 8 and 12 hours.

The Office of Preparedness and Emergency Management (OPEM)

The Pediatric Preparedness Planner has overall responsibility for development, coordination, and monitoring of the Emergency Medical Services for Children (EMSC) Program. The EMSC Program is a federal initiative in all states and territories; its mission is to reduce childhood death and disability caused by severe illness or injury. In Massachusetts, the Program is a statewide effort that addresses the delivery of emergency medical services to children in a coordinated and efficient manner. Responsibilities include: programmatic and fiscal monitoring, collection, review, and analysis of relevant data, grant preparation and reporting; providing technical assistance and advice to MDPH personnel and statewide constituency; and acting as a liaison with other state and regional agencies. The position is a member of the Department’s 24/7 Duty Officer team, and is classified as a Regional Planner V.
